"Where The Wild Things Are" trailer

"Where The Wild Things Are" is a classic children's book with some very non-child like sentiments; kinda like Harry Potter(abused child living in a closet?? whoa!). The book FINALLY got a film version, hobbled through pre-production, stalled during production and languished through post-production...and now extremely talented director Spike Jonze gets to show off his loving monsters that help a boy deal with the world.

Take a look at the trailer: Get Wild

50 Word Review: "Knowing"

The first bonafide thriller of the year. It’s more chilling than I expected and captures some EXTREMELY intense imagery. I was riveted to my seat throughout until the end when the filmmakers chose to go vague in one important way. The ending, depending on how you receive it, could make or doom the film.

Stars: Nic Cage, Chandler Canterbury, Rose Wayland

Asher Roth "Lark on My Go-Kart"

This guy reminds me of a guy I went to college with.  LOL  Talented guy.  I still can't help comparing him to Eminem, but there are worse to be compared to so....

The new KryptoNATE shoe by Nike pays homage to NY Knicks Guard Nate Robinson the sneaker he wore when he jumped over "Superman" Dwight Howard and won the 2009 Dunk Contest. It's a limited run (fittingly launching today - St. Patrick's Day)...so ummm....if someone knows someone at Nike and that someone wants to send me a gift...I'll take these please. Size 11 or 11.5.  Thank you.

Congrats to the hardworking fellas of the Syracuse University Basketball team. My alma mater reached down and pulled out the best they could muster for a legendary win in the Big East Tournament last night. SIX overtimes!! Are you kidding me!!?? I got tired just WATCHING the 5th overtime. Hopefully, they have something left for West Virginia today and then on to the finals.

50 Word Review: "Watchmen"

I know I'm behind and should've posted this last Friday, but here are my 50 words on "Watchmen":

“Watchmen” changes the idea of the “superhero film” in as many bounds and super leaps as possible. While heavily constructed, it is a fun, shocking, eye popping, exciting and sometimes melancholy look at what the world would look like if superheroes were real and just as flawed as the rest of us.
